To describe in what stage we exist in the moment, the political sector is the best to take analogies for.
Regardless if a single entity or individual or a group of entities or individuals, the simplest way to deal with the real world is to react in a straight way to the environment. If a reaction is found, it is just conducted. If it is not successful, it causes to rethink the reaction.
So far so good. The subject is heavy and in this article the approach is to step by step come to the final complicated point of view. The fruits to read this article is waiting for the patient reader (and also I realize I am not very good with my try to write a short article about this opinion of mine here).
Let assume an environment with competing entities. It may be an advantage to try to hide or cover up the aimed reaction. Due to the nature of competition, this is an understandable approach; better calling it strategy.
More interesting is an environment of competing entities in which they need each other or depend to each other in some way. From an evolutionary point of view this is usually a short period as it is unstable for a longer period. So no harmony or better said no symbioses has been reached yet (or discontinuation of this particular individual or form of life).
For instance brothers or sisters growing up together serve well as an easy example. On the one hand sharing the same genes causes a certain conflict to a form of competition because killing the other would also mean killing on own member of the own family. This is a kind of killing themselves.
Going back to the strategy of a lie. Both brothers or sisters compete for the same potential partner or whatever else.
To get the thinking of the quality of lies one step more up, 1000 brothers are living together and share the same genes but also compete for the one or the other thing. For so many individuals, there is not single reaction to the (changed) environment existing anymore. As every individual of these 1000 have slightly different living circumstances it is a natural thing to differ in opinion. These differences are not that big but exist. And this is even more complex if we think of a nation (BTW not sharing the same genes as brothers or sisters do). There are existing enough common things to define the nation but also there are differences causing different opinions.
Here the most common possible reaction to a changed environment is easy to find. We call this democracy. The problem is a complex environment with many different attributes. Then the reaction might not be a single move but a strategical orientation. Now, the most common reaction is possible to not exist anymore.
That is what we call politics at its finest. As a single individual, you do not express a specific move as a reaction to a (changed) environment. Political parties are formed to deal with it.
Really interesting is the mechanism within a nation. A lie is not only meaningful to other competing nations but also within the own nation to be fitter for the competition with other nations. Decision making processes may get very long and a changed environment is requiring a reaction as soon as possible. Not reacting in time may cause having disadvantages in the competition outside. This scenario does not even count in the internal competitiveness scenarios which exist in a complex world.
But really most interesting is the mechanism of the decision making processes which interact with these lies. Uncovering lies is also a natural process then. And one more level up exists as well! Uncovering lies and pretending (a form lying by the way) to care a lot but in fact just caring a bit and mostly uncover lies for other purposes as to deal with the morally correct consequences.
A competitive nation which do not have formal order may exist with the semblance of order. As the survival today is the highest aim, the show must go on. These all are natural effects without a higher aim behind of it or without a higher force or hidden consciousness.
A lie in this context is appearing as a natural part of the game.
But when going back to the idea of the absence of a symbiosis, this sort of “affect” (the lie I mean) is an indication of a immature way of life.
That is what we undoubtedly are! We are immature for the way we are. A life form is anyway only a short blink of the overall pursuit to survival but are even in a stage of great instability. The lies we hear and the lies we hear uncover and the lie of those who uncover lies are nice proof for this. The other proof is the fact that we can destroy ourselves several times easily. Well, there are another countless indications for this.
Amazing is the role of lies. A lie is a tool as every other tool within decision making processes and political parties and nations and us overall. We are full of conflicts we cannot solve. The only solution is to change. Currently, nobody has a specific ideas what sort of change this may be. The other alternative would be discontinuation. Our sun does not burn forever. The how is unknown but the when for the showdown would be latest then. Currently we are far away of seeing this. The reason is easy: we are competing to each other but depending to each other and are not living in a little harmony. We are just still making it.
