What is space?
When imagining being in space, peaceful feelings arise. Powerful it is to be there. The strengths to withstand the harsh environment of space gives the confidence to master our existence. Watching our planet and other parts of space we can see from here proofs our superior being, well – ignoring the fact we mess up our planet is the price for this thinking.
Then, after some time spending long moments in this imagination, the truth reveals. There is in space no hot bath, no ice cream, no bicycle driving or swimming in the ocean. The warm bed in safety of violent radiation from the sun is a blessing to live on earth. Just walking through the forest down here is incomparable to up there. Here is not just our home, it is our only harbour.
We live in paradise here. A tree growing here in the wild with juicy sweet apples is symbolising it. Space is for us what a mouse is to the ocean: somehow the origin but for the current way of being it is nothing more as history.
But then space is future. As life started growing big on earth it will not be forever here. We as life must change to go back to space to continue to exist.
In a real survival situation, some people would rather die than to eat a bug to survive. Other people are able to overcome its own shadow and make it. This sort of making it is the monster in us driving our advancement. I don’t know if this power of us will make us drive against a wall or drive us to the next level. Anyhow. Space is where it begun for us and where it will end with us.
