When it comes to “big“ questions like where are we human beings from, the fact that we appear to have some kind of design is always mentioned. Indeed, we have a design. We all had grown from just 2 cells and this safely in our mother. What is difficult to understand is that in the real world we live in, something which has a design did no necessarily has to have a designer or was designed. The words designed and design speak in most languages for themselves. The one as a cause with leading to the other. I want to compare it with a simple effect in the physical world. A block of copper has the attribute that the metal is oxidizing under the free sky. The color changes and the chemical properties of the oxidized surface are different. Now it happens to be not that “bad“ for the metal block because the surface acts as a protection for the inside. There is no purpose in this effect but the result of protection. Protection is somehow related to survival and my example should show, the functional effect has no designer nor design. It is just as it is. Iron for instance does not have such an “advantage“. Going back to us as living beings. We lack of a designer but have a design. That is also something functional. You will now remember of the effect of evolution and also of the “advantages“ of a 2 sex reproduction. But these are effects and only effects of natural given environmental attributes. We are very complex beings but that our design was designed is not proven by the fact that we have a design.
The religious person will from my first line see the nonreligious approach. The very strong believer may not even be abl to finish reading. That all is about the idea of a more or less random world or a higher cause of all. But this text is not against it overall. When trying to go back to the very beginning of what we call big bang, then the big question of where we are from is still unanswered.

PS: several times I write words quoted. The word in the above “advantage“ for example. With this I want to express the point of view. That it is an advantage is only a point of view. Commonly believed is, that a 2 sex reproduction is speeding up the process of a greater variety of beings and therefore “good“. But this is not for sure. I was until now like this (at least it appears to us). May be this attribute of us (which will probably never change) may be it is a cause of us as a way of being to end up in a one way street. What is
an advantage is our current point of view.
